KEDARNATH-TUNGNATH YATRA (5N/6D)

Kedarnath and Tungnath are two of the most sacred Shiva temples located in the Himalayas of Uttarakhand. Kedarnath is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas and part of the Char Dham Yatra, situated at an altitude of 3,583 meters. Pilgrims reach Kedarnath by trekking from Gaurikund, surrounded by snow-covered peaks and the Mandakini River.

Tungnath is the highest Shiva temple in the world, located at an altitude of 3,680 meters and is part of the Panch Kedar temples. The trek to Tungnath starts from Chopta and is about 3.5 km, offering beautiful views of the Himalayan ranges. This journey is a perfect combination of spiritual experience, trekking adventure, and scenic beauty.

Travel Itinerary

Day 1: Depart from Delhi

  • Depart from Delhi at night by Traveller / Car / MUV / SUV.
  • Overnight journey towards Haridwar/Rishikesh.



Day 2: Haridwar – Rishikesh – Devprayag – Guptkashi

    Early morning reach Haridwar and witness Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri. Continue journey via Rishikesh and Devprayag Sangam. Reach Guptkashi by evening. Dinner and overnight stay in Guptkashi.

Day 3: Kedarnath Trek

    Early morning drive to Gaurikund. Start 16 km trek to Kedarnath. Kedarnath Temple Darshan and evening Aarti. Overnight stay in Kedarnath Camps/Dormitory.

Day 4: Kedarnath Darshan & Trek Down

    Early morning Kedarnath Darshan. Trek back to Gaurikund. Drive back to Guptkashi. Dinner and overnight stay in Guptkashi.

Day 5: Tungnath Trek – Chopta – Depart to Delhi

    Early morning drive to Chopta. Trek 3.5 km to Tungnath Temple. Optional trek to Chandrashila Peak. Return to Chopta and depart for Delhi in evening.

Day 6: Reach Delhi

    Reach Delhi by morning. Trip ends with spiritual memories.
